Join Gwendolen’s Stretch and Strength studio classes at The Dance Space in Brighton. Tailored for all levels, these sessions focus on ballet-inspired conditioning drills and targeted stretches to enhance flexibility in your hips, legs, and back. These low-impact classes offer a supportive environment for beginners to learn the proper techniques of stretching and for experienced dancers to refine their skills.

A targeted flexibility class designed to lengthen the full lower body. With a mix of ballet-inspired flexibility drills and deep stretches, you’ll improve full leg flexibility, line for higher leg extensions, and deepen your splits.

Leg Stretch and Splits
A mobility-focused session to open up the spine, chest and shoulders, relieve tension, and build strength for better posture and alignment. Ideal for improving your arabesque line, lifting through the upper body, or simply countering time spent at a desk. This is mobility training with intention; guided, effective, and grounded in classical technique. Come as you are, and progress with support.

Yes, of course! With the right teaching and guidance, everyone can greatly improve their flexibility and full body mobility; achieving outstanding results. The studio classes are welcoming, supportive and designed for all levels; with variations of the stretches and drills to adapt to the various needs of each individual.
Gwendolen is an experienced teacher and will give adjustments and feedback where necessary to assist students. -
We utilise yoga mats, resistance bands, and yoga blocks in the classes. All equipment is provided, however, some students prefer to bring along their own mat and resistance band.

Our studio classes are based at the beautiful The Dance Space studios at South East Dance in the heart of Brighton.

The studio is accessible by on-street parking around the building using the PayByPhone app, by bus and is a 15 minute walk from Brighton Railway Station. -
It is recommended that women in their second and/or third trimester of pregnancy do not attend these classes due to the intensity of the stretching. These classes are not suitable for anyone with serious injury.

Yes, for all studio classes the minimum age is 16. There is no maximum age limit.
