Join Gwendolen’s Stretch and Strength studio classes at The Dance Space in Brighton. Tailored for all levels, these sessions focus on ballet-inspired conditioning drills and targeted stretches to enhance flexibility in your hips, legs, and back. These low-impact classes offer a supportive environment for beginners to learn the proper techniques of stretching and for experienced dancers to refine their skills.

Full Body Ballet Stretch

A full-body stretch session using flowing ballet-inspired flexibility movement to lengthen the muscles, open the hips and shoulders, and release tension through the spine and legs. Expect gentle mobility work paired with deep stretching to improve alignment, posture, and overall ease in your body.

Length and Release: Hips and Hamstrings

A focused flexibility class targeting the hips, hamstrings, and lower back. Through targeted mobility drills and deep stretching, you’ll learn to create space, release tightness, and build balanced flexibility for stronger, more comfortable movement and improved range.

  • Yes, of course! With the right teaching and guidance, everyone can greatly improve their flexibility and full body mobility; achieving outstanding results. The studio classes are welcoming, supportive and designed for all levels; with variations of the stretches and drills to adapt to the various needs of each individual.

    Gwendolen is an experienced teacher and will give adjustments and feedback where necessary to assist students.

  • We utilise yoga mats, resistance bands, and yoga blocks in the classes. All equipment is provided, however, some students prefer to bring along their own mat and resistance band.

    • Wear what you feel comfortable training in

    • Water

    • A sweat towel if needed

  • Yes, we do! Your first class is half price at just £5. Simply book into any single class date you like then enter the code 'STRETCH' at checkout. This offer is open to all new students with a one-time use per customer.

  • Our studio classes are based at the beautiful The Dance Space studios at South East Dance in the heart of Brighton.

    The studio is accessible by on-street parking around the building using the PayByPhone app, by bus and is a 15 minute walk from Brighton Railway Station.

  • It is recommended that women in their second and/or third trimester of pregnancy do not attend these classes due to the intensity of the stretching. These classes are not suitable for anyone with serious injury.

  • Yes, for all studio classes the minimum age is 16. There is no maximum age limit.
